The Daily “While You Were Away” Email
On mornings when something happened in your workspaces, you get one email at 7 AM in your timezone called “While you were away”: a short summary of what your Chief of Staff and your routines did since the last one.
What's in it
- One email, even if you're in several workspaces. Each workspace gets its own section with the workspace's name, so you can tell them apart.
- In each section, what happened, grouped: Awaiting your tap (drafts and items that need your OK) first, then Shipped, Built and Noticed.
- An Open your workspace button under each section that takes you straight to that workspace.
When it's sent
- Once a day at 7 AM, using the timezone in Settings → General.
- Only when there is something to report. On a quiet day you get nothing; there is never an empty email.
- Only for workspaces on an active plan.
How to stop it
Any of these turns it off for all of your workspaces:
- Click Unsubscribe at the bottom of the email, then confirm.
- Use your email app's own Unsubscribe button (Gmail and others show one next to the sender).
- Go to Settings → Notifications and switch off “While you were away” email.
Your routines keep running, and everything still shows up in the app. Only the email stops.
How to turn it back on
Switch “While you were away” email back on in Settings → Notifications, or open the unsubscribe link again and click Turn it back on.
