Your payment didn't go through
If your card is declined when your subscription renews, you'll see an amber banner at the top of every page: "Your last payment didn't go through."
Nothing has been switched off at that point. Your Chief of Staff, your Brain, your documents and your routines all keep working while we try the card again.
Why it happens
Almost always one of three ordinary things:
- the card expired
- the bank declined the charge (a new card number, a fraud hold, or not enough available balance on the day)
- the card was replaced and the old one is still on file
How to fix it
- Click Update your card in the banner. That opens the ClickFunnels Customer Center sign-in page with your billing email already filled in.
- Click Continue. The Customer Center emails you a sign-in link — it does not use your Marketing Secrets password.
- Open that link, find your Marketing Secrets subscription, and update the card on it.
"It says there's no subscription for this email"
Your subscription is keyed to the email you used when you bought it, which isn't always the email you sign in to Marketing Secrets with. The banner shows you which address we have on file for your order — use that one. If neither works, reply to any email from us and we'll look it up.
What happens next
ClickFunnels retries a declined payment on its own schedule, usually every couple of days. So:
- Updating your card doesn't clear the banner straight away. The new card is used on the next attempt, which can be a day or two out. The banner stays until that payment actually goes through.
- You can press I've already updated it to make us re-check with ClickFunnels immediately. If the payment still hasn't cleared, that's normal — it means the next retry hasn't run yet.
- If the card is never updated, ClickFunnels eventually stops retrying and the subscription ends. You'd then need to subscribe again to get your workspace back.
If you meant to cancel
You don't have to do anything. A subscription that can't be collected ends on its own. If you'd rather cancel deliberately, see Billing & Cancellation.
Can I hide the banner?
Yes — the × on the right hides it for the rest of your browsing session. It comes back next time you sign in, until the payment goes through. Your team members never see it: billing is between us and whoever owns the workspace.
