Export Your Data
You own what you've built in MarketingSecrets.ai, and you can take a complete copy of it whenever you want. Export your data packages your documents, chats, Brain facts, Attractive Characters, routines, and files into a single ZIP file you can download, open anywhere, and keep.
How to start an export
- Open Settings and find the Export your data card.
- Click Export my data.
- Your export builds in the background — this can take a few minutes for a large account. You can close the page and keep working; we'll email you when it's ready.
- Open the email and click through to Settings, or just return to the Export your data card yourself. Click Download ZIP to get your file.
The download link requires you to be signed in, so the email itself never carries a link that works on its own — only a link back to Settings.
What's included
Your ZIP file contains:
- Documents — everything you or your Chief of Staff created, as readable Markdown files, plus an index
- Chats — your conversations as readable Markdown, with the full structured messages as JSON alongside them
- Brain — your memory facts (everything your Chief of Staff knows about your business) as JSON
- Attractive Characters — your characters, their stories, and their voices
- Routines — your routines and their run history
- Your work — plans, custom agents, skills, and projects
- Files — files you uploaded, with an index listing every one
- Account info — your profile, workspaces, business profile, the names of apps you've connected (never passwords or keys), credit history, learning progress, and feedback you've submitted

What's not included
- Content your teammates created. Each person on your team can export their own data the same way.
- Passwords, access tokens, and API keys for apps you've connected. We never include live credentials in an export.
- A few shared-workspace chats that don't record who started them, when you didn't write a message in them yourself.
- Very large uploaded files past what fits in a single export. These are still listed in the file index so you know they exist, and you can download them individually from your Asset Library at any time.
If any section can't be built — for example, a temporary error on our end — the README tells you which ones, so you know to request a new export rather than assume something's missing.
Timing, limits, and retention
- Building your export takes anywhere from under a minute to a few minutes, depending on how much you've built.
- You can request one export every 24 hours. If a build fails on our end, it doesn't count against your limit — you can try again right away.
- Your download link stays available for 7 days after your export finishes. After that, it's deleted and you'll need to request a new one.
Data portability (GDPR)
Export your data is MarketingSecrets.ai's self-serve tool for data portability under GDPR Articles 15 and 20 — the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format. Markdown and JSON files open in any text editor or note-taking app, so your export isn't locked to our product.
If you'd also like to delete your account, take your export first — account deletion removes your memory facts, conversations, and embeddings from our systems, and there's no way to get them back afterward.
