Settings
Chat settings are the small switches that change how every conversation feels. Read responses out loud. Pick a default model. Clean up a long thread in one tap.
You don't have to touch any of it to use the chat. But the right preferences make it feel like yours.
What it does for you
In the chat header — the cog menu:
- Read responses aloud — turn on text-to-speech for the assistant
- Collapse all — fold up a long thread's cards in one tap
- Settings persist — your choices stick across sessions
On the composer — every message:
- Model picker — it's in the composer's bottom toolbar; leave it on your default or pin a specific model for this conversation
- Enter to send, Shift + Enter for a new line
Across your whole workspace:
- Open the account menu (your avatar, top right) → This Workspace for Team, Billing, Notifications, and workspace preferences
- Memories, Integrations, Skills, and Routines live under Chief of Staff → Manage
- Your Default Model preference decides which model new chats start on
Things you'll never see:
- API keys or token counts
- Prompt editors or system-message wizards
- Anything that needs a manual to read
How you use it
- Open any chat.
- Tap the cog icon in the chat header for read-aloud and Collapse all.
- Tap the model name in the composer's bottom toolbar to change which model runs this conversation.
- For workspace-wide preferences, open the account menu → This Workspace.
- Change one thing at a time. The CoS picks up the new behavior immediately.
If you only do one thing today: find the model picker in the composer and see what your default is. Most days, the default is exactly right.
