What is a Skill
Think of a Skill as a recipe your Chief of Staff already knows how to cook. You don't tell it the steps — you tell it the dish.
Most skills are framework-shaped. A research pattern. A sales script. A landing page review. A launch checklist. The skill carries the structure so the output isn't a generic answer — it's the framework, applied to your business.
What it does for you
Built around real frameworks:
- Writing — emails, captions, ad copy, long-form posts
- Research — competitor profiles, niche reports, customer interviews
- Analysis — landing page reviews, funnel audits, ad creative breakdowns
- Operations — launch checklists, weekly reviews, content calendars
Three ways a skill gets into your chat:
- You attach it — the wand icon in the chat composer opens the skill picker
- You start from the skill — the Use Skill button on any skill card opens a chat with it attached
- Your CoS attaches it for you — skills with auto-suggest on are matched against your message automatically, and the skill pill lights up when one is applied
Smarter than a one-off prompt:
- Same memory, same documents, same connected apps as any chat
- Voices can be attached so output sounds like the right person on your team
- Update the skill once and every future run uses the new version
How you use it
- Open chat and attach a skill with the wand icon — or just describe the work and let auto-suggest match one.
- Answer the questions it asks — audience, offer, context, whatever the framework needs.
- The output lands in chat. Save, edit, or send.
One tip for skills you build: the "When to use this skill" description is what auto-suggest matches against — the more concretely it describes the moments you'd want it, the more reliably your CoS reaches for it.
If you only do one thing today: attach a skill to something you're working on right now — a webinar, a launch email, a competitor — and watch what comes back.
