Story & Hook Inventory
Great copy doesn't get written from scratch — it gets pulled from stories you've already lived. The Story & Hook Inventory is the bank of those stories, structured the way Russell teaches them, ready for any piece of copy your CoS writes.
Tell a story once. Use it forever.
What it does for you
Stores each story the way Russell teaches it:
- Title — short and memorable so you can find it later
- The ten-act arc — backstory, desires, external conflict, internal conflict, the wall, the epiphany, the plan, the conflict along the way, the achievement, the transformation
- The false belief — the wrong thing the story tears down
- Candidate hooks — ready-to-use headlines, subject lines, and openers pulled straight from the story, editable right on the card
Keeps it organized your way:
- Each story belongs to one Attractive Character, so a founder origin and a brand-side win don't mix
- Sort stories into groups you name and color — "client wins," "early failures," whatever you pull from most
- Tag stories with your own custom tags
- Switch between grid and list view; search covers stories, hooks, and themes at once
Plugs into every future piece of copy:
- Hooks, openers, emails, captions, VSLs, webinar bits — your stories fuel them
- Your wording, your details, your AC's voice — the CoS doesn't rewrite, it places
- The more stories you add, the better the writing gets
How you use it
- From Attractive Characters, open a character and go to the Story & Hook Inventory tab.
- Browse what's already there — open a story to see the full arc, false belief, and hooks.
- Hit Tell a story to add a new one — record it, upload files, write it out, or answer guided prompts.
- Search the inventory any time — by topic, by theme, by the hook line.
- When you ask the CoS for copy on a topic, watch it pull from the right stories automatically.
If you only do one thing today: open the inventory and check what's missing. Every gap is a story you should tell this week.
